The m1 OASYS MAX is a system package designed to take advantage of all the features of the m1 OASYS. This package adds security features and the capability to remotely control lights and turn on/off devices in your observatory. Having lighting control can be very useful if you are remotely monitoring your observatory with a Network Camera. The device power control is also a very convenient feature and allows you to turn on/off devices such as your computer, mount, or CCD camera. Sometimes re-booting your mount or camera is the only way to get your system operational again and this is the best way to do that. The Lighting Control is accomplished using UPB (Universal Powerline Bus). Basically UPB is a serial command that is sent to the device (such as a lamp module or dimmer switch) through your AC power line. UPB is very reliable. The system is fully upgradable so you can add-on features at a later time.
